FAQ

I often get questions about my business, experience and most of all fees. I understand that some questions need clarifying so I’ve put together the most common questions that I receive.

Are your fees negotiable?

Yes, they are negotiable. I am willing to negotiate depending on the scope of work, the contract, and the client’s needs. However, I will not cut out my bottom line. This is my business and while it is my goal to provide you with excellent content it is also my goal to make a profit.

How do you bill for your writing?

I use an hourly rate schedule. The hourly rate covers the time it takes to research, write, and edit before submitting the finished copy to the client. Many times a writer will write on a per word fee but are only being compensated for the words they wrote and not the entire project which includes research and editing; not just content creation.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I typically accept payment through PayPal through either a PayPal invoice or custom invoice I create. I found it’s very easy to use, even if you don’t have a PayPal account you can pay via credit card.  You can see my Terms & Conditions for more information.

Do you ever resell or use an article that a client bought?

No. Articles that are purchased by a client for use in websites, marketing campaigns, or newsletters are owned by the client. I only retain the right to use them in my portfolio for examples to potential clients. If I retain authorship of a piece with or without a byline, I retain the right to link to it as part of my clips and examples.

Do you offer discounts?

I do offer discounts to new clients, those who refer me to other people (and projects come from those referrals). I also provide discounts for multiple projects or long term contracts and relationships.

Can I reach you on weekends or evenings?

I typically work between the hours of 9am to 4pm EST. These are normal business hours. Evenings and weekends are my personal time. During my work hours you can IM or email me. If I don’t respond immediately it’s because I am working on a project. If it’s not an urgent matter then I advise everyone to email me and I will respond as soon as I can.

If you have a question that I didn’t cover, please email me and I’ll be happy to answer it for you.
